LAS VEGAS (KSNV) —Nevada Attorney General Aaron Ford discussed data centers and their impact on utility costs in Boulder City.
Ford, who is running for governor, held a town hall on Sunday in Boulder City focused on data centers’ impact on affordability and his plan as governor to protect Nevada families from higher utility bills. He also outlined his plan to protect taxpayer dollars and state re
Ford has said he plans to pause new tax abatements and stop attempts to build data centers on federal land. He has also said he will audit data centers to verify whether they have delivered on their commitments.
In a release sent to News 3, Ford’s campaign claims, “Data Center Joe ‘wholeheartedly’ supports data centers and has handed them more than $240 million in taxpayer dollars while Nevadans struggle to afford to live in his failed economy. Meanwhile, Joe Lombardo’s campaign has taken $2 million from MAGA data center and Flock billionaires.”
News 3 reached out to Governor Lombardo’s campaign for comment and is awaiting a response.
