The effects of former Hurricane Polo are expected to bring heavy rain and flooding to the southwestern United States after the powerful storm travels across Mexico, the National Hurricane Center said Tuesday.
Hurricane Polo, an extremely powerful Category 4 storm, continued to swirl off Mexico’s southwestern coast on Wednesday but was only expected to skirt the Pacific shoreline over the next few days, not make landfall, as it continues along its path.
