AP Top 25 highlights: LSU slides into the top 10 and Michigan falls out of the poll

LSU slid into the top 10 of the first regular-season AP Top 25 thanks to a blowout victory over Clemson. Close-call wins didn’t stop No. 6 Oregonfrom slipping out of the top five or Michigan from falling out of the poll altogetherafter a controversial Hail Mary.
The drop to unranked by the 16th-ranked Wolverines is the biggest by any team after a win since at least 2008.
Oregon’s slide from No. 2 made room for No. 2 Georgia, No. 3 Notre Dame, No. 4 Texasand No. 5 Indiana to each move up one spot from the preseason poll. Ohio State kept No. 1by a wide margin.
